ONE Monterrey Aeropuerto
The breakfast was fantastic. The hotel was also very clean. Everything was super modern. Would highly recommend. I only wish that they had a pool. My girlfriend and I were very satisfied with our stay.
"A nice hotel not far from the airport"
This hotel has a free hotel shuttle (careful for sites like Hotels.com who publish free shuttles when it is really a taxi they send you for full fare). About 10 minutes from the airport. If you have no Mexican cell card go to info desk at airport and they will call Hotel One to send the shuttle. Rooms nice and some good restaurants nearby.
"Great Value / You get what you paid for / Clean / Noisy"
Great Value hotel. Facilities are clean and well kept. Breakfast is warm and satisfactory. Rooms are frugal but clean and comfortable. Linens are clean and fresh. TV and Internet are good. Shower amenities are good. Towels are kept clean but on the rough / worn side of its useful life. Sleep quality is good if you are a heavy sleeper. If you have trouble falling asleep, noise will keep you up (doors slamming, shoes clacking, loud / rude guests, aircraft frying overhead) Being a value hotel, expect to find loud and rough guests (families will small loud kids, blue collar workers, mid level executives loud answering their cell phones) Hotel does LITTLE to enforce a 'lower your voice and keep it quiet' policy.
Very good site within 5 minutes of airport, close to a great variety of traditional Mexican to Good Ol American Junk Food sites.....within 10 minutes of a medium size mall and the hotel van will take you even if its outside the 5 km distance if you win wink and give him $50 pesos tip.....Thats $2.50 bucks for us fellow gringos out there.......the facilities extremely quiet specially the higher floors, you dont hear planes going by.....rooms ar ample and very clean.,,,,the buffet breakfast is well worth the price and even better if you add into your hotel package.....the lobby bar is very ample selection and if sports is your thing various large flat panels all over the lobby.......stayed there variosu times and staff has always been extremely courteous....most of the desk staff is bilingual......only downer.....if you need to go to Monterrey Metro are the rush hour peak traffic........7am to 930 am and 5 pm to 8pm is brutal to say the least........Monterrey grew too fast to accomodate all the traffic so way plan ahead have your clients come visit you or schedule all your trips into the city center within the non peak hours to avoid headaches.....Taxi is way expensive almost NYC rates...........UBER best way to go....one way trip Monterrey Metro is about $10 bucks add another $5 as premium price during rush hours......Monterrey Metro is all full of great eating options as most restaurants have al fresco seating and the ambient is festive and extremely safe although take your usual precautions as you would any other foreign city you visit, specially if you go for tjhe nooky/tequila combo ....you all know what Im talking about. Have a great time. .
There was an odor coming from the bathroom, probably from the sewage, had to close the door bathroom to mitigate the odor. The dispensers for shampoo and body soap, I do not like them, I prefer the little bottles that other hotels provide. the bathroom is to narrow, although this is the hotel design I did not like it
